Louis C.K. is taking another breather at FX. Much like he did in the 2012, the Emmy-winning comedian is putting his Louie on hiatus before it eventually returns for a sixth season.
FX Networks and FX Productions CEO John Landgraf announced the news Friday morning at the Television Critics Association summer press tour. “After writing, directing, starring in and mostly editing 61 episodes of television,” Landgraf explained, “he’s anxious to take a break from the show and work on other things.”

Just let it go.. it is no longer funny. Season 3 was the last funny season. Season 4 and 5 were pretty horrid. Think I’ll just skip season 6 completely.

Kind of silly to skip the season altogether, doncha think? Everybody has bad days. And what if you miss the funniest season of all?
On second thought, since we usually get what we expect, with such low expectations, you won’t enjoy it anyway, no matter how funny he is.

Louie is not a comedy. It’s a show featuring a comedian supported by other actors and comedians. There’s a difference. Even though it is not a comedy, not a situation comedy, there are more than enough hilarious and entertaining themes and moments. At the end of S4E12 In the woods, I could not hold back the tears. I am so bloody thankful for someone dramatizing middle aged white bread male reality challenge and struggle, thank you so much for you Louie.
PS Bring Pamela back, she is so quirky cool, a little dirty sexy too.
