The Last Man on Earth cancelled on a cliffhanger? Creator/star Will Forte has warned that cancellation “would be a real bummer” given that the story is locked in for Season 4, per TVLine:
“The finale of Season 3 would be a real bummer for people if it didn’t come back for a fourth season, because there’s something that happens [in the episode] that opens the gateway to the possibility of stuff. I’m really excited about how it ends… And I think that people probably have a good idea what it is.”
Does Forte have any inkling on the show’s future?:
“I [haven’t] heard anything about a renewal. I think [Fox] likes the show. But I know it’s all about the ratings and stuff. So I guess we just have to see.”
Meanwhile, a FOX spokesperson refused to ease cancellation fears, telling the publication:
“Last Man on Earth and other current shows are under consideration for renewal and we’ll be making decisions over the next two months.”
Is the Last Man on Earth heading towards extinction? Will the series survive for Season 4? Stay tuned as we monitor the cancel/renew status of the FOX comedy…

I love the way the show has progressed, love the characters and definitely want to see where their journey takes them. I would love to see it stick around for several more seasons.
