Hawaii Five–0 was recently renewed for a seventh season by CBS, but actor Masi Oka is also game for Season 8, per Assignment X:
It’s great to be working. Things happen. We’ve had an amazing run. I think six years is a fantastic run. So if there’s a Season 7, a Season 8, fantastic.
However, Oka says he would have been satisfied with the show’s run had it been cancelled after Season 6:
If Season 6 [would have been] our last season, that’s great, too. In this day and age, to be on the air for more than four seasons, or even more than one season, is a blessing. So we’re very grateful for that. We’re very blessed.
Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the status of Hawaii Five-0 Season 8…

I am a devoted fan to Hawaii 5-0, Season 6 is almost finished, and has been excellent so far. I’m really llooking forward to season 7 and all the exciting episodes coming up. It would be absolutely great if there were a season 8, so let’s keep the show going.

As long as Blue Bloods is renewed, Hawaii Five-O should be renewed, year after year. The two of them work great together. They go together as two parts of a whole. From the beauty of Hawaii to the inner city of NYC they make a great team on Friday nights. Keep up the quality of the scripts, cut down on the celebrity name guest stars, and stay true to their roots. CBS gets their money’s worth from Five-O. There is probably not another show in their line-up they could put on Fridays and make as much profit as they do from the program. They would either have to put on a much cheaper show and get far less money, or put a more expensive show in the time slot and cut into their earnings.

I for one love the friday night line up of Five-0 and Blue Blood.
On Five-0 we still need to see where Steve’s mom is and what’s her secrets. Five-0 is still being witch hunted by the cop from the mainland. Catherine is undercover and hiding more secrets from steve, (about his mother?) Kono’s hubby is a great background story. The background stories are great and keep you watching from week to week. And I love that each episode solve a crime each week. That’s good TV, I hate programs that has the foreground story being the cliff hanger.
And Blue Blood; what can I say? I’ve watched Tom Selleck from Magnum P.I. through all his Sheriff Stone movies to now in Blue Blood. I don’t think he’d be caught dead in a bad show.
Ongoing series shows like Lost, Under The Dome, and others lose my interest because it don’t get to some kind of point quickly enough for me. If it takes more than 2 episodes to answer some kind of questions, then to me it’s just a soap opera. You have to get to the point about something each episode or lose me as a viewer.
That’s why I’m saddened that Person of Interest is in it’s final season. I don’t mind a series getting to a final conclusion. But, you have to fear, what are the putting in it’s place. Another prime time soap?

Love the idea oof the show running for 8 seasons. I am a devotd fan of five-0 and always wait for the new episodes on Friday, the humour in it is also amazing, however I wouldn’t mind another NCIS:LA crossover. That one was an epic one.
