In wake of its stars splitting, Flip or Flop is reportedly cancelled after its current seventh season, which concludes in 2017. Per E! News, the series will not continue into Season 8:
E! News has learned the show is scheduled to last beyond 2016, but don’t count on a 10-year run. According to a source, there are episodes that will be filmed in the new year in order to fulfill contractual obligations. “The show will end after that,” the insider added.
RIP.

I truly enjoyed Flip or Flop – great show, identified the talents of both husband and wife, identified so much that goes on with buying an old house, or even a newer one that has been “remodeled” poorly and not up to code – things to watch for when trying to buy a home. This show should have been SAVED!!!!!
Richard Cooke says
Sorry but Christina’s shrill voice drove me nuts and watching them pretend to work on the houses themselves is laughable
Rob says
OMG, I’m so glad others think like I do…canNOT stand Christina’s voice! She’s such a *itch! However, we’ll have to endure FIVE spinoffs of this show! Wow!

My daughter and I enjoy watching Flip or Flop together.

I WISH couples really would focus on the future before stepping out of a marriage….ESPECIALLY after just growing their family. Their children will ALWAYS be their #1 priority, yet these 2 adult individuals can’t make a sacrifice for their children? That’s TOTALLY selfish AND ignorant!
Ignorant? YES! My kids lived with 2 happier parents once we got divorced (due to physical abuse, mind you.) But more than 7 years after the fact, my daughter needed therapy as she STILL mourned the loss of her ‘normal’ family.
My son, now 32, was 7 at the time we got divorced. He had witnessed way too much. BUT, even so, still struggles today with our divorce from 24 years ago! He hesitates to ever consider marriage, he definitely has no interest in having children if in case he ever ends up divorced. He says there is NO way he would ever ‘chance it’.
So my advice to ALL couples that struggle: Think of your kids first PLEASE. I HAD to divorce or be killed. But way too many other couples are reasonable, intelligent human beings (which MY husband wasn’t). So they should THINK OF THEIR KIDS FIRST.
Kathryn says
Sorry, but some times it’s best for the children for a couple to separate. It’s not good for children to grow up in a toxic environment where the parents aren’t happy and that translates to the children.
Kevin Lutz says
I liked the show, not as much as Chip and Joann Gaines. sorry to hear they are splitting up, never a good thing for the kids involved, hope they can work things out.
Steve Kline says
My wife and I enjoyed watching the series. They did some good remods, utilizing quality items and did not seem to cut corners. Always felt their homes would be a good buy (if you could afford to buy in California).
Rest in Peace Flip or Flop. I hope they work out their marriage problems.
Richard Cooke says
Sorry but Christina’s shrill voice drove me nuts and watching them pretend to work on the houses themselves is laughable. jUST ONCE could they do a paint colour other than light gray with white trim. And as far as cutting corners, ever notice how they keep the nasty in the wall heaters instead of installing central heat and air?
Kathryn says
I can’t say I’m surprised that they broke up. He’s a tight wad that was always trying to do the least he had to make a buck and she always wanted to make the houses look really good and didn’t care how much it cost. That’s a recipe for disaster. Every time she had to wrangle with him to spend money to make the house look good she looked like she wanted to hit him.
Bronco46 says
The tight wad thing was probably contrived to maek the show interesting.

You are thinking of that train wreck “Flipping Vegas”
Tom Knutsen says
Are you kidding me? That was one of the best shows on HGTV!!

Besides Chip and Joanne Gaines, Tarek and Christina were my wife and my favorite television couples. It was just tragic that they would commit career suicide like they did. We haven’t watched it since the allegations came out.
Mike says
The writing was on the wall long before this notice. People seem to think that their “fame” will get them out of anything, here is one of those times that it didn’t. Unfortunately, most celebrities don’t suffer any consequences for their bad behavior, if they did we’d see less drama off the screen.
There are plenty of very good shows out there in this crowded field of “reno” reality shows that there really won’t be a void to fill.
Guy Placer says
If I was Tarek I would be getting paternity tests on the son and the one in the oven.
She’s such a who!#…..
Gail Current says
Loved their show flip or flop it was genius…parading their children on TV masquerading that they were a loving family and then the news break that their family is a sham. Stopped watching, prayers for their children! Maybe being poor was best for Christina and Tarek!
Jane Smith says
I thought the work done on the houses was for the most part okay. She seemed to be the domineering one of the two .However as a couple of people have already stated her voice grated on my nerves after about ten minutes into the show. Because they are no longer a “happy couple” I don’t know that the show would make sense for me.
Constance Sheckler says
Tarek & Christina (Ken & Barbie) never had any on-screen chemistry. Most viewers figured their relationship was fake. Even the situations were fake (finding bones in the yard- yes, most of us figured it was a buried family pet), having their car stolen and recovered the very next day (yeah, right), “borrowing” money from Christina’s dad to flip a house(yeah, right). The show was nick-named “Flip or Fake.” Discovering the whole thing is a sham put the lid on the coffin for this viewer. Great decision, HGTV. P.S. Christina, please take diction lessons to stop talking through your nose.
Steve says
Just seen her on a morning talk show hyping a future book. Hope both of them do well. Just one more thing, fame + money = huge ego.
