In The Flesh Season 3 revived? Dominic Mitchell wants to finish what he started with the cancelled BBC sci-fi series, in the form of a 90-minute finale special:
“Would fans of #InTheFlesh like a 90 minute special?”

Speaking to DenofGeek, he said of his plans to resurrect the series:
“The context of the tweet was to see if there would still be interest in concluding the show with a ninety-minute special. And if that were so, I’d start putting ideas to paper. The idea for the special had been forming in my head ever since BBC Three cancelled the show.”
Before putting the wheels in motion, Mitchell wanted to “test the waters,” adding:
“Would people still be interested in an In The Flesh special? The last thing I’d want to do is start up a Kickstarter campaign or pitch the special to investors and distributors and be told there was little interest in continuing the story of In The Flesh. That would be very embarrassing.
Of the fan response thus far, Mitchell said:
“As a Twitter Luddite, I’m not sure if that’s good or bad. As a multiple BAFTA-winning show with a worldwide cult fan base, I believe it’d make sense to do a ninety minute special.”
Hi #InTheFlesh fans, overwhelmed by yr support for possible 90 min special. Thanks for sharing & liking. Let me put the feelers out.

I would support anything (a full season would be best, I’ll take the 90 minute special if that’s all we can get) that would help tell this story to a satisfying conclusion. Canceling In The Flesh ranks highly among other television industry crimes against humanity such as the untimely demise of Firefly and Brimstone.

I loved this series. I was literally addicted from the start. I did not sleep, just to see what happened next. Why must we be left hanging?! Give us something to wind it up, a satisfactory feeling of closure, so that we may at least be aware of the end to a beloved storyline, full of characters whom i could not help but feel somehow connected to, in my evolving love and knowledge for each. This was not your run-of-the-mill zombie story. It was unique, intriguing, and a great offense was done when you dictators of all things tv decided to cancel yet another exemplary series without allowing a completion to what was started. In fact, I am getting so fed up with this occurrence that I have almost decided to forego the watching of these productions all together. Almost. It is not the wonderful characters’ fault that you dictators are ridiculously unreasonable or without proper intelect! Do one thing right, dictators! GIVE US BACK IN THE FLESH!!!!
