Steven Moffat has said that Doctor Who will air for at least another five years, following the sci-fi drama’s recent tenth anniversary.
The show’s executive producer told Doctor Who Magazine that he expects the show to “do a minimum of 15″ years [..] I mean, it could do 26!”

I’ve been a loyal follower of the Dr Who show since I was a kid watching on PBS. I’m glad they resurrected the series 9 seasons ago and with the advances in computer generation I would love to see someone re-film the several years that were lost due to a film vault fire. They have some fan Reconstructions out there with the original sound tracks from the BBC radio versions but they’re all made with still images. As far as the new seasons go I’m still hoping for a reunion with the clone they referred to as the doctors daughter, last we saw of her she regenerated and was heading out into space in a ship. Some people call it a cheesy show for kids but you need to have some understanding of British TV and society to watch their shows, its actually quite a good show

Technically speaking if you start from the beginning and count the american movie as a season then they are going into their 35th season this year with 265 episodes so far
