BBC One has cancelled The Coroner after two seasons/series. Star Beatie Edney confirmed that the daytime drama will not return for Season 3.
Lamenting the cancellation reaper, Edney said:
“It’s been so successful it seems a shame [to cancel it].”
Just heard there won't be a third series of #TheCoroner on @BBCOne. As it's been so successful it seems a shame.

Thanks to all the lovely #TheCoroner fans who've expressed their sadness at no third series. @BBCOne might be interested to know.

I specifically paid for this station so I could watch The Coroner. It is a superb show and I cannot understand how it can be cancelled. I just finished watching it this morning and opened my computer to this news.
It amazes me the amount of garbage that is on this network. Take some of it off and continue on with The Coroner.

Totally agree with you. I am very unhappy this has been cancelled. It is a lovely show. I have just watched the repeats and was looking forward to more.

Why do they cancel the good ones? I love this show! Please reconsider.

with so many run of the mill shows on TV, when you fine one that is good and then find out it has been canceled it is frustrating at the least.

For the life of me, I cannot understand WHY this exceptionally interesting show would be cancelled ! I looked forward to watching it every week. Whoever the people are that make these decisions, apparently need their HEADS examined !
