Sky Living has increased its portfolio of compelling US dramas with the acquisition of fast-paced legal thriller Conviction, starring Hayley Atwell (Marvel’s Agent Carter). The series will launch on Sky Living on Wednesday November 2nd at 9pm.
From The Mark Gordon Company and ABC Studios, Conviction tells the story of Hayes Morrison (Atwell), the brilliant but rebellious daughter of a former President, who is blackmailed into taking a job as the head of New York’s newly created Conviction Integrity Unit. Hayes, along with her team of lawyers, investigators and forensic experts, work together to examine cases where there’s credible suspicion that the wrong person may have been convicted of a crime. The CIU team are bold, outspoken, dedicated and opinionated, and don’t always get along, but their clashes are nothing compared to what they deal with outside the unit.
Co-created by writer Liz Friedman and director Liz Friedlander, Conviction also stars Eddie Cahill (CSI: NY), Shawn Ashmore (X Men), Merrin Dungey (Alias), Emily Kinney (The Walking Dead), Manny Montana (Graceland) and Daniel Franzese (HBO series ‘Looking’).
Conviction joins an enviable list of much-loved US network hits on the Sky Living channel, with a bumper line-up of new seasons launching this autumn, including Grey’s Anatomy, The Blacklist, Criminal Minds and Blindspot. In 2015, Season 1 of Blindspot drew in an audience 1.192 million, making it the highest-rated new US drama launch on Sky Living in its history.
Adam MacDonald, Director of Sky Living, said: “As the home of the best-loved US network dramas, Conviction is a perfect fit for Sky Living. With strong characters, engrossing storylines and suspense-filled moments, the show is sure to make it to the top of our customers’ ‘must watch’ list.”
The Executive Producers of Conviction are Mark Gordon, Liz Friedman, Liz Friedlander and Nicholas Pepper. eOne handles international rights for the series.

Must all be morons. Show is the same ol’ dribble from ABC as always. president’s daughter gets in trouble and now she has to pay the price and learns to like her job. How cute. Gimme a break.
Hayley Atwell looks like a stuffed sausage with greasy unkemp hair. Maybe if they tried to get her back to Agent Carter things would pick up for ABC. Not with junk like this…
