“It would be obviously short-sighted, especially after last week, not to be kicking the tires on what that would be,” Wolf told reporters, pointing to last week’s three-show crossover. “It would probably be in the legal system.”
Wolf discussed Chicago Law rumors specifically.
“Would I like to do it? Of course. You talk about your dreams begin fulfilled, this is a dream come true to have these three shows operating this synergistically is beyond my expectations,” Wolf continued. “My instinct is always to double down but there are many masters to serve and many people have to agree.”

NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke emphasized that the discussions are still in the conceptual stage and there is no script or writer attached for the spinoff. But the idea is that key characters for “Chicago Law” could be introduced in “Chicago P.D.,” much as the other spinoffs came from planted episodes of mothership “Chicago Fire.”
“We could plant the seeds for some characters who could live within the world of ‘P.D.’,” Salke toldVariety on Wednesday during NBC’s winter Television Critics Association press tour presentation.
