I won’t watch ANY new series on FX anymore. Every time I get hooked on one of their shows, they cancel it and leave the viewers hanging. Some of the series FX cancelled that REALLY pissed me off were “Terriers,” “The Bastard Executioner,” “Tyrant,” and other shows. Many of them were critically acclaimed, but FX never gave its viewers time to get interested in the shows. This crapulous basic cable TV network only cares about the ratings, not its viewers, nor favorable reviews by critics. And when they cancel one of their series, the fans of the shows are left unsatisfied and confused. The least FX could do is produce and televise a two-hour show of cancelled programs that would wrap up the cancelled series and give closure to the fans who watched those particular shows.
Now, one FX show that I did start watching, despite my misgivings and fear that FX will probably cancel it, is “Atlanta.” Once again, this program has been acclaimed by the critics, and even recently won Golden Globe awards for the genius producing, writing, directing and acting by the man who plays the main character, Danny Glover. Unfortunately, the ratings for “Atlanta” aren’t as high as expected, so FX will probably cancel this awesome show, too. I highly recommend “Atlanta,” and if the network allows viewers a chance to check out the show and get involved in it, then perhaps it won’t get cancelled.
Bottom line, FX is only in it for the ratings and the money. They don’t care about the people who become involved in their shows, and they don’t care if they leave their viewers hanging after abruptly cancelling various series. So this is why I refuse to get stuck on watching any other FX shows, because I only get pissed off when they cancel my favorite shows. BOYCOTT FX! THEY SUCK!
(P.S. I wonder how long it’s gonna take FX to cancel its most recent series, “Taboo.”)
