With 24: Legacy about to enter the cancel/renew crucible, Brian Grazer has admitted that the 24 movie is doomed, noting that the concept is better suited to TV, per Deadline:
“I got Howard involved, I got Kiefer involved, I worked on the movie for two years.”
It just worked better for television. We couldn’t really find the right world to put it in, the right location. To base it in America seemed not very authentic whereas to do a TV show in America was the perfect bridge. We put it in European countries, but it wasn’t working there with the economics, we couldn’t find enough money to make it. So we couldn’t find the right location, we couldn’t find the right story, and it was always too expensive.”

That’s to bad; last thing the audience to see Jack Bauer being swept away in a Russian Helicopter and Chloe told to go home. I was hoping one day there would be an ending to this marvelous story, at least where Jack Bauer could find some sort of rest he deserved, 24 is a great story, FOX please give it an ending that it deserves, and I hope the cast would support.
